Risk of Severe Injury and Accidents Due to Uncontrollable Acceleration Causes Toyota to Stop Sale Production of Cars for Recalled Toyota Models
Frank J. Dito, Jr.
Last night Toyota announced that they are updating their recall for Toyota models that potentially may have uncontrollable acceleration problems. They upgraded the recall to the extent that they are going to stop selling all recalled car models with accelerators that might stick. Toyota has also announced that they are going to stop production of the 8 recalled models for one week, beginning February 1 (5 Toyota plants throughout the United States and Canada will be affected).
The following models of Toyota's are part of the new recall from Toyota and will not be sold until further notice from Toyota due to the dangerous risk of the accelerator becoming stuck:
- 2009 - 2010 RAV4
- 2009 - 2010 Corolla
- 2009 -2010 Matrix
- 2005 - 2010 Avalon
- 2007 - 2010 Camry
- 2010 Highlander
- 2007 -2010 Tundra
- 2008 - 2010 Sequoia
