Long Island Hit and Run

A 56 year old female jogger is struggling to survive after being struck by a hit and run driver.
Police believe she was jogging along Canal Road in the Suffolk County community of Mount Sinai when she was struck by a hit and run driver. The accident happened at 11 on Sunday morning. Authorities believed the vehicle was a tan or light colored midsize car.
The impact was so violent that she nearly lost both of her legs. She was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where doctors worked on vigorously trying to save her legs.
